Working principle

The touch sensitive switch is based on the capacitive working principle and does not require pressure triggering. It only needs to be touched by hand or other parts of the body. Capacitive sensors measure the capacitance between the sensor surface and the surrounding environment. When an object, such as a hand, approaches the sensor, the capacitance increases and generates a corresponding output signal. The so-called 'capacitive', as the name suggests, refers to measuring the capacitance. For example, there is a capacitance field above the surface of a touch sensitive switch. Generally, this capacitance field will output a continuous and stable measurement signal. The capacitance field will change the measurement value due to the proximity of the hand. When the measurement value changes to a certain extent, the internal integrated circuit will detect this change and trigger a switch action. The human body is mostly composed of water, so it has a relatively high conductivity. Therefore, sensors based on capacitance detection are particularly suitable for use as touch sensitive switches.

The sensitivity of CPB capacitor button switches has been set ***** based on over three years of experience in industrial automation before leaving the factory. And strict testing was conducted, and the shell design complies with DIN EN1672-1/2 (Hygiene) standards. There are products with sensing surface diameters of 12mm, 22mm, 30mm, 45mm, and 60mm. Customization can be made according to different customer needs, with a variety of LED colors and terminal configurations to choose from.

Currently, there are three output methods available for customers to choose from

1) Instantaneous: The output signal will continue as the touch time prolongs; If the opposite hand or other parts of the body leave the sensing surface, immediately stop outputting the signal.

2) Hold type: When touching the sensing surface, the signal will continue to be output until the next touch on the sensing surface stops.

3) 0.3 second hold: Touch the sensing surface, continuously output signal, and automatically return to the initial state after 0.3 seconds.
